Frequent questions
ALDA is a non-profit association made up of harpists, students, teachers, independent musicians and harp lovers from all over Latin America, whose corporate contribution is intended to manage and provide development opportunities to the community of harpists on the continent. For example, through donations, master classes, workshops, talks, and other events, both virtual and in-person.
The number of countries represented varies each year, but ranges between ten and fifteen countries.
At ALDA we try to ensure that official communication is offered in Spanish and Portuguese, the two most spoken languages in Latin America.
We have approximately 60 members and the number is growing every day!
The Artistic and Directive Commission is the body that is in charge of all the administration and decision-making of ALDA at a general level. It is made up of five members from five different countries with the purpose of having diverse ideas and perspectives that respond to the needs of different regions of the continent.
Of course! Our organization takes a lot of work to keep it running and your contribution is welcome. If you are a member of ALDA and wish to participate in the work we do voluntarily, you can contact the Artistic and Directive Commission by sending us a message from our site, or an email to contacto@arpalatinoamerica.org
